Create a diptych

Hello,

I've been trying for 2 days to create a diptych with my two photos. The problem lies with their size and I can't find a good site to explain how to make this diptych. I would like someone to tell me how to create a diptych in Photofiltre with two photos sized: 4320x3240! Even if I reduce the photos, they never match despite me using the same numbers and I'm not a pro in this field and I don't know what to do anymore...

Thank you in advance if you can help me! :)

    Good evening Maaary,

I think you're approaching PhotoFiltre the wrong way...
You can set your two images to exactly the same dimension down to the pixel, the only problem preventing you from doing this is that they don't start out at the same size, and therefore it's impossible, when changing dimensions, by reducing or enlarging, to end up with the same values.
You should start by cropping your images so that the larger one is exactly at the dimension of the smaller one, and this is indicated while you are making your cropping selection at the bottom of the window http://ww12.screenshotuploader.com. When your images are cropped to the same size there are no longer any issues with enlargement or reduction; it always works out perfectly. Then there are no problems with assembly afterwards, and you can place them side by side with the desired gap (or no gap at all) or a pseudo-joint, etc... ;-)

It doesn't change anything, I'm cropping my two photos and I'm still having the same problem...

Not possible, or you're not saying exactly what you're doing; anyway, you should only crop one image: the largest one.

It just happens that both images are exactly the same size....

    - Assembly: http://ww12.screenshotuploader.com and everything is fine.

When I look at the properties of the photo, the dimensions are the same for both! This story is getting weird, but when I try to put them together on a new page, they are huge...

    Hello,

The fact that they are huge is not an issue as long as, in their vastness, they are exactly the same dimensions, and it's more of an advantage than a disadvantage because enlarging images has never produced anything clean. If you reduce them by the same value, they will always be equal in size; for example, if you set one to 1024 wide and the other also to 1024 wide, and your box to keep proportions is checked, they will inevitably be the same size:

There’s no problem; it should work out fine, but still make sure that both images are at the same resolution, just in case...

Once the two photos are the same size, as Luke1 says, just have both photos open, copy the first one, then switch to the second one and do "paste special" and choose the position (top, bottom, right or left) and confirm, and you'll automatically have your diptych

Note: it also works if the two photos are not the same size but ........... it looks less nice!!
