Bonjour, Je reviens sur une question que j'ai posée en décembre 2008. Je posssède un scanner Canon, modèle 8600F. Comment et où trouver le driver pour UBUNTU 12.10? En décembre 2008 il n'existait pas, peut-être que depuis il a été développé? trois ans se sont passés !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Configuration: Linux / Firefox 17.0

je renouvelle ma demande, on sait jamais?

Ton driver existe, mais sur le site australien de canon... Dans la recherche Google, tu mets téléchargement driver canon australie

Essaie ceci : Tu fais un clic droit dessus et tu demandes de l'ouvrir avec la logithèque Ubuntu

Ah oui ! Avec Canon s'est toujours la galère ! Essaie de mettre dans le gestionnaire de paquets : sane Tu vas avoir une liste de paquets : installe tous ceux qui te paraissent intéressants, ça va peut-être marcher... Si tu ne trouves pas le gestionnaire de paquets, dis-le, car il n'est pas toujours installé.

Le Canon 8600F ne dispose pas d’un pilote Linux clair pour Ubuntu 12.10, malgré des recherches et des échanges sur le sujet depuis plusieurs années. Plusieurs répondants indiquent que VueScan offre des pilotes pour Windows et macOS, mais qu’aucun pilote Linux n’est clairement disponible pour Ubuntu 12.10 à ce jour. D’autres échanges évoquent l’absence de drivers Linux et des solutions comme Simple-Scan et sane-pgtk qui ne reconnaissent pas le scanner, tandis que des dépôts Ubuntu 12.10 sont explorés. En dernier échange, des liens et des tentatives avec VueScan sont mentionnés, mais aucune solution Linux viable n'est encore apportée pour l'utilisateur à ce jour.

  Ok, logiciel téléchargé, installé, mais, encore une fois pas de pot, le canon 8600F n'est pas supporté!!!!!!!!
  On m'a offert ce scanner il y a trois ans, je n'ai jamais pu m'en servir sous ubuntu, il faut que j'aille sur un autre ordi qui est sous windows. Quelle guigne!

Il faut faire apparaître la liste des sources en ouvrant un terminal et en inscrivant dedans :

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
puis en ajoutant en dernière ligne l'origine de ton paquet, puis en enregistrant la modification... mais attention, ça marche rarement ! et si la ligne est mauvaise, ça risque de tout bloquer ! il faut alors réouvrir la liste des sources et effacer la ligne incriminée, et enregistrer la nouvelle modification.

Regarde maintenant dans les applications, tu dois avoir un scanner (ou plusieurs), tu les essaies tous.

  J'ai simple-scan et sane-pugtk. Aucun des deux ne reconnais le scanner canon 8600F.
  Je crois qu'on a touché le fond. On abandonne?

Personnellement je n'ai plus d'idée!... Mais tu devrais demander à Mamiemando, c'est une spécialiste de ce genre de problème
