Hello,

I’ve been trying to use my Wii for a year now!

As soon as I turn it on everything goes fine, but when I’m on the Wii menu, my cursor doesn't appear. The controller has no issues, it's on and shows that it’s number 1!!!

So the cursor doesn’t show up!

Help me! I'm begging you!

Before throwing away / buying anything, are you sure the cursor is not off-screen?

Press the Home button on your controller (the little blue house). If you access the menu, it means your controller is indeed activated and recognized by the console.

If that's the case, exit this menu (press Home again) and try moving your controller in all directions (not just pointing at your TV). Aim at points 2 meters to the right/left/up/down of your TV.

Maybe you'll see your cursor appear, and then you'll need to go to the options to configure the calibration of your controller.

yes, I can access the home button menu!

and no, I've tried it in every possible way but the cursor still doesn't appear. but what is controller calibration and how do I configure it?

Imagine that when you point your controller exactly at the center of the screen, your cursor appears 30cm to the right, and well, calibration allows you to fix this problem.

In fact, calibration will display targets and you will have to click on them with the cursor as precisely as possible so that your controller is "tuned" with the detector.
However, I just looked on my Wii, and calibration is not offered in the Wii options (I thought it was...). I know that some games do it, like Zelda: Twilight Princess, but without a cursor, it's hard to access it ^^'

Do you have multiple controllers? Or a guitar to slide this one in?

Yes, I have several controllers but no guitar and I don't have any games like Zelda and so on.
Well, today I'm going to buy a new sensor and I'll let you know how it goes!

Have you tried with all your controllers? In all directions, getting closer to your sensor, moving away? Never had a cursor?

If that's the case, you might actually have a problem with the sensor.
