Installing Firefox on MAC OS 10.5.8

I accidentally installed version 22 of Firefox on my OS 10.5.8 system.
Of course, it doesn't work.
I think the correct version is 16.01 and not 17.01 for an OS 10.5.8 system. I just downloaded and installed both versions. Version 17.01 was not supported by the 10.5.8 system. Firefox 16.01 is okay.

I had the same issue, so I installed version 3.6.28, but when I try to install version 17.0.1, it still doesn't work. What do you mean by "upgrading it to version 17.0.1"?

Hello, you can download version 16.0.2, which is the latest version for Mac OS X 10.5.8

To verify that the file is not corrupted before installation, open the terminal, type md5 + a space, then drag your downloaded file and hit "enter," and wait to see the checksum. This is supposed to give you these digits:

57bcff2bbc7ea7e46a55749a4d0be75a

If you don’t have this checksum, do not install it, as the file is corrupted.
