How to connect my microphone to my Onkyo tuner amplifier?

Hello, the mic signal is very weak, normally you need a special preamp, and to mix the mic sound with the music as rightly pointed out, you would need a mini mixing table, like DJ equipment.

For me, the simplest solution would be to use the mic input of the computer, which is made for this, and mix that with a CD, an MP3, etc. Generally, you don’t even need to install software for that, the function is integrated into the computer.

And then output from the computer to the amplifier, there you might need a mini jack to RCA adapter.

the diamondnoir method will work, but only partially.

with its adapter, the signal will reach the input (provided you have another female-to-female adapter). Moreover, this adapter is stereo, and a mono is needed for the mic.
The signal will arrive, therefore, but at a very low level, far from the line level to which you would connect the 2 RCA.

On the other hand, if you select the input where you've plugged this (let's say AUX), you 'risk' hearing the mic, but only the mic.
However, the thing with karaoke is to sing over music. And here, nothing mixes your mic with another source of music.

It's super rare (miraculous) to have an amp where you can select 2 inputs at the same time.
So, you'll have to either sing or listen to music, but not both.
