Unable to remove printer Solved

Question

Hello world,

I have a little problem.

I installed a HP1022n printer on my network from my server.
A document deletion failed inside it: the document is now in the state "Deleting - Printing in progress".
I tried to completely remove the printer, but that was before I knew that in any case, it's impossible to delete a printer as long as it still contains documents...

Let me recap:
I have a printer with the status "Deleting" with a document inside it in the status "Deleting - Printing in progress".

How can I delete it?
It has been in this state for 2 weeks.
A little help would be appreciated.

The final solution:  Go to Windows services Stop the service related to the spooler Delete all files in Windows/System32/spool/printers Restart the spooler. The printer can now be removed  Bye

Good evening XGotX,

if you have already uninstalled its software, reinstall it.
then restart your PC if you haven't done it already
(( check that your pending file is still there, at least)

DISCONNECT your printer from the power outlet and wait 20 to 30 seconds, then plug it back in and see the result.

I've already tried all of this but it hasn't worked.  I even restarted the spooler with no result.   Thank you for your reply.

You go to C:/, WINDOWS and then you select all the programs related to your printer, you delete them. Then you go back to the one you couldn't delete and you'll see, it will be deleted.

The XGotX solution works perfectly.
I didn't know this trick; it avoids having to restart the PC, thank you.

1) Go to Windows services > Stop the service related to the spooling
2) Delete all files in Windows/System32/spool/printers
3) Restart the spooler.

The printer no longer has any stuck documents pending!

Hello, the solution to the problem is as follows:  start -> Run type:  net stop spooler  a window will open and stop the spooler, when it closes,  start -> Run type:  net start spooler  There you go!
