how to set Google as new tab Solved/Closed

Hello

For the past 2 days, I haven't been able to set Google in a "new tab." It shows newtab instead... I've tried looking for answers to my problem... :'( I'm using Windows 7.

Please help me get this sorted out!!

A quick method tested on Firefox:

_ in the address bar type: about:config
_ a message will appear, click on: I promise I'll be careful!
_ in the search bar type: browser.newtab.url
_ select the result and do: right click + modify
_ type the Google address: http://www.google.fr then Ok

I have the same problem, so I know it's not just because your computer is in English and that it no longer shows the same "New Tab."
I don’t like it either; I can’t even see my theme anymore.

Hello,

I found 2 practical solutions:

The first one, the simplest, is to drag the Google bookmark to the "Apps" section on the new tab page. Google will appear in the new tab as an application.

The second is to open a new tab, go to the "Most visited" section on the left, and drag Google (or another site) to the "Apps" section of the new tab.

You can even add applications to a third page located on the right side of the new tab.

There you go, see you later.

J'ai trouvé que pour tout remettre au début, il faut aller dans les paramètres (chrome://settings/), puis cliquer sur "Afficher les paramètres avancés..." en bas de la page, puis dans Système, réinitialiser les paramètres du navigateur.

Hello Here’s how I solved my problem. -Tools -Internet Options -In General, click on Tabs -Select your home page choice in "When a new tab is opened, open"  Normally this should work.

Under Windows Internet Explorer, Just go to Internet Options  In the General tab, click on Tabs. This will open a new window titled "Tabbed Browsing Settings" Go to: "When a new tab is opened, open:"  and select Your first home page as the page to open when a new tab is opened, then click OK.  And that's it...
