Google Chrome ~ Close a tab

Question

Hello everyone,

I accidentally pinned a tab. I would like to know how to remove it since it appears every time I open Google Chrome and it annoys me to remove it manually each time!

Hello dear Chrome users,

I have the same problem, I pinned a tab and now it keeps appearing all the time! And on top of that, it opens another empty tab without any applications or anything... It's completely empty, I tried pinning others, deleting it, uninstalling Chrome to reinstall it, resetting all settings...

It's really starting to drive me insane...

I thank you for helping me before my PC jumps off a 12-story building, because on top of that, it's a YouTube video and it's my work PC... So it's quite frustrating...

Hello,  Go to the settings menu represented by three lines (top right) Then go to settings There you will find the startup settings, click on 'set of pages', and you can delete the one you don't want!

I found the solution!!

So you download "Adwcleaner", then you do a scan and you will get the error report with lots of tabs like Internet Explorer, Firefox, or others just above the space where the errors are listed. You go to the tabs, go to the one for Chrome and then click clean!

It works great for me and I'm thrilled, it even removed Babylon Search that was seriously testing my patience.

I have the same problem.
I wanted to temporarily keep some pages that I didn't have time to read, so I pinned them.
Then I saw that you could, with the right click, unpin the tabs and also delete them. The problem is that when I restart Chrome, the deleted tabs inevitably reappear.
None of the solutions proposed here work (I haven't tested downloading ""ADwcleaner" because - for the time being - I prefer to avoid external software).
For me, it's a bug in Chrome.

I found it!
I had the same problem and after reading the comments I clicked around a bit but I succeeded, at least for my case:
- Go to "Customize and control Google Chrome" the three dots at the top right.
- Go to "Settings".
- Then in "On startup" you have three options to check: If, like me, you have "Open a specific page or set of pages" checked, then uncheck it and choose one of the first two according to what you want.
