Facebook, accepting a declined invitation?

Hello,

I have a small problem with Facebook. A friend added me on Facebook without telling me. When I saw the invitation, I didn't recognize it and therefore declined his invitation and blocked the contact so that he couldn't add me again. (I'm probably a bit paranoid, but I like my peace of mind)
However, when he told me it was him who added me, I thought, oh no. The problem is that I blocked him, so he can't invite me anymore, and I can't add him because his profile is hidden from people who aren't his friends!!!!

What should I do now?? If you have a solution, thank you very much.

to unblock the people you have blocked, go to your profile, then to "settings" (at the top right of your page, it's the little downward arrow), and then choose "manage blocking" on the left, your friend should appear
