Hello,

I want to uninstall Windows PowerShell to upgrade from Windows Vista, but when I try to remove it through "Add or Remove Features," I get an error message saying, "An error occurred. Some features were not changed correctly."

Can you help me?

Thank you in advance for your response.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 9.0

Hello Sacha,

I see that you are on Windows 7 and you’re talking about Vista. On Windows 7, PowerShell 1.0 is integrated into the system, whereas on Vista, to uninstall version 1 of PowerShell, you need to use the following program:

C:\Windows\$NtUninstallKB926140$\Spuninst\Spuninst.Exe

As its installation was done via an update and not through a "classic setup."

Otherwise, to uninstall a stubborn program, you can use this excellent tool:
https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/utilitaires/22737-unlocker/

Beware: Uncheck the Babylon Toolbar which is a real nuisance, otherwise you’ll be in for a cleanup later :)

Choose the “unlock” or “unlock all” option (if multiple attachments are found).

Best regards, Bridget.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.
I am writing from another computer, that's why.
But the computer in question is indeed running Vista Home Premium SP2 32 bit.
