Hello, they are all scammers. At first, they allow you to send free messages and then it starts with payments either by Visa, MasterCard, or even SMS, one week at 19 euros you have to pay 68 instead of 76 euros, it's a scam so be careful.

Meetic is indeed free for women only, like most dating sites. Sometimes Meetic and eDarling offer free weekends (like from Friday to Sunday).
For free, you have POF, Badoo, Amoureux..

Sometimes Meetic offers promotional deals for three days free, but I don't think there are any currently.
You can also turn to free sites, like Netlog or SpeedLoving.

All sites are more or less paid... On sites that claim to be free (like Grospoisson or Badoo), there are always paid options even if we can chat with some people for free.

The key is to never take a subscription via credit card where you have to notify in advance to stop it (like Zoosk), otherwise it never stops and that can get expensive in the end.
