Hello,
I want to share my rather peculiar problem that is driving me crazy.
Warning, it’s quite a read!!
Three weeks ago, I bought a new Acer computer. I decided to reactivate my "adopt a guy" account. I went to the page, entered my credentials, clicked OK, but nothing! The page remains the same. I tried over and over again, the problem persists. Sometimes, I end up on a 404 page (but rarely) or a page saying that there have been too many “redirect loops” (something like that in this dialect).
But the most surprising thing is that according to my “friends,” my account has indeed been reactivated since I appear online. Moreover, I haven't received any email in my personal inbox confirming my reactivation. I thought it was a hacked account, but that's not the case since I managed to log in from other computers . Strange...
So, I modified my settings, tried on Mozilla, Chrome, changed cookies and blah blah... Nothing works.
I decided to write to the adoption service, but then, second bug . To send them an email, you have to retype a code of letters/numbers, you know, the thing to see if you’re a robot. No matter how many times I type the code, it says it’s incorrect... I thought I was going crazy!!!!
I managed to contact the service via a social network, but the technicians are really useless. They just sent me useless copy-and-paste responses; I doubt they actually read my emails.
I lent my computer to a friend who is quite specialized in this area, and it remains a mystery for him too. He thought it was my antivirus blocking access to the site. We tried everything, changed all the settings, nothing works!!! According to him, the solution is a reformat.
So I gave up and went back to my old computer (Acer) (all this just to log into a dating site, pff). No problems for 3 weeks, I was able to connect easily. But since yesterday, I have this issue again!!! I wonder if the God of computing has decided to forbid me from cyber-dating!!!
I want to specify that I only have this bug for this specific site.
If a kind soul could solve this dilemma, I would send them cookies (hahaha)
Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 536.5
