Hello,
I have a very big problem with the Sims 3 game.
I tried to download the pose player. I followed all the instructions to the letter from this tutorial: http://www.les-sims3.fr/ Moreover, the files that are already installed to check if it works (e.g. not having the intro when starting the game) work! But I looked in Decor\misc, and I cannot find the pose player!
I’ve seen, looked, tried all the tutorials or forums (not just the one I just gave you)! NOTHING!
I'm starting to lose my patience. Please help me before I throw my computer out the window!

Hello, I'm explaining my issue:
- I have the Pose Player and I can place it in my house. However, when I switch back to live mode and hover my mouse over it to click, my game completely crashes. I can't choose a pose or even click on the pose box
(all of this in live mode). Can someone help me? -

First, let's make sure it's properly installed, look here: http://fr.sims.wikia.com/wiki/Installation_du_contenu_personnalisé
Downloads go into My Documents, some work if they're in Program files but not all! (so if you've placed your downloads in Program files, that might explain why NoIntro works but not PosePlayer)-

Flore Winx, in my opinion, it’s the following step 5 that you’re missing:
Complete solution, to follow step by step:
1) Go to My Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 and create a folder (right-click + new + folder) that must be named mandatory "Mods".
2) Download the file "Ressource.cfg" which can be easily found on sites like ModTheSims or on forums that will provide you with downloadable links. It must be placed mandatory in the "Mods" folder. This file is the most important.
3) Create a sub-folder in the "Mods" folder, which must be named mandatory "Packages" (don’t forget the "s"). This is where the Pose Player must be located.
4) Download the Pose Player from ModTheSims (at this address: http://www.modthesims.info/d/438706). You can either save it directly in your "Packages" folder, or download it and go to your "Downloads" folder to move it into your "Packages" folder.
5) EXTRACT the Pose Player in the same folder (My Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Mods > Packages), otherwise it won’t appear in your game. It is a .rar file: you must therefore have software such as WinRAR version 32bit or 64bit depending on your computer (software that I recommend; it's simple and fast, and with just one right-click on a .rar file you can extract this file).
6) Finally (optional step), to avoid "clutter", and give a "neater" look to your Packages folder, I suggest deleting the non-extracted Pose Player file (that is to say, with the "rar" extension) while of course keeping the extracted one.
In the end, you should have the following folder path:
My documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Mods > Packages
You must have a Ressource.cfg file in your "Mods" folder.
And you must have the EXTRACTED Pose Player in your Packages folder.
Reminder: Once installed, the Pose Player can be found in your Buy Mode > Decorations > Miscellaneous. Have fun! -

I understand well, however, I am afraid that the decompression step is not sufficiently explained, and yet that is what I advise Flore Winx to double-check (even though my response is late and she/he may have already found the source of the problem).
Few people are likely to modify their files this way, and I don’t think that two or three lines are clear enough to explain how to do it and why.
For my part, I was used to decompressing files in my former use of The Sims 2, whereas .rar files worked perfectly without me having to go through this decompression step. Here, that is not the case; it is absolutely necessary to decompress the .rar file, and that is something I myself did not understand. So I wanted to emphasize it.
Also, I dared to summarize directly in a comment for the lazy ones who wouldn’t want to waste their time with the explanation, which is sometimes incomprehensible and not detailed, from another site (like me, who, believe me, sincerely struggled to install the Pose Player, even following the instructions from your link; that shows how some people can be hard of hearing!).
I hope I haven't upset you.

Hello everyone!!! I finally managed to install the pose Player! You need to download it from Mod The Sims and I must specify, to install it you have to be logged in. I totally screamed with joy when I noticed it was working! Here's the video that saved me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWS5rJXpAYY
I hope it helps you too! xx -
To create a resource file, you go to Notepad, copy-paste the code, and save it under the name "Recource.cfg" with the extension (just in case you didn't know, because I didn't either before)!

So I had the same problem, here's what I did ;)
1. Put your Mods folder (which contains the Packages folder and all your package files + your pose player) in Documents/ea/The Sims 3
2. Place your resource.cfg in doc/ea/The Sims 3 with this code verbatim:
priority -29
PackedFile DCCache/*.dbc
PackedFile Packages/*.package
PackedFile Packages/*/*.package
PackedFile Packages/*/*/*.package
PackedFile Packages/*/*/*/*.package
PackedFile Packages/*/*/*/*/*.package
PackedFile UI/UI.package
PackedFile Automation/AutomationData.package
PackedFile Jazz/JazzData.package
FileType 0xf0ff5598 triggers
FileType 0x0333406c xml
FileType 0x1a3201cd mod
FileType 0x025c95b6 layout
FileType 0x025c90a6 css
FileType 0x062e9ee0 ttf
FileType 0x062e9ee0 otf
FileType 0x062e9ee0 ttc
FileType 0x03b33ddf mod
FileType 0x0604abda dreamtree
3. Place another resource.cfg file in the Mods folder with this code:
priority -29
PackedFile DCCache/*.dbc
PackedFile Packages/*.package
PackedFile Packages/*/*.package
PackedFile Packages/*/*/*.package
PackedFile Packages/*/*/*/*.package
PackedFile Packages/*/*/*/*/*.package
PackedFile UI/UI.package
PackedFile Automation/AutomationData.package
PackedFile Jazz/JazzData.package
FileType 0xf0ff5598 triggers
FileType 0x0333406c xml
FileType 0x1a3201cd mod
FileType 0x025c95b6 layout
FileType 0x025c90a6 css
FileType 0x062e9ee0 ttf
FileType 0x062e9ee0 otf
FileType 0x062e9ee0 ttc
FileType 0x03b33ddf mod
FileType 0x0604abda dreamtree
4. Put the d3dx9_31.dll in the Mods folder
(also remember to update your framework)
And there you go: I hope it works, it worked for me! -
Hello, how do you make poses in The Sims 2? I'm completely lost.
