Hello,
I bought Architect 3D Ultimate 2012 (V15), and I was encountering the same installation problem (install shield... then nothing)

I just tried the installation again today... and it works.

I should note that I have Windows 7 Home 64-bit

Some Windows updates may have resolved the issue, in any case, it’s worth trying again.

Have a great day

Back again, after a hard drive change, I'm encountering the same software installation problem that I legally purchased via download.
I click on "Install"... Then nothing happens :!!!

Hello,
I see that this old issue... is still relevant!!
So I went back to the problem because I had given up, to be honest.
And by temporarily disabling my Bitdefender antivirus, and unplugging my Freebox to disconnect from the internet... well, the software installation works without a hitch.

So give it a try

Let us know if it works :) and have a good Sunday!

Good evening,
Is the problem the same if you try to play another CD?
See you later

I don't know if I'm able to help, but if this is the only CD that's not working, it might be the cause of the issues!
Otherwise, check the following point.
You insert the CD into the drive, go to Start, Computer, is the presence of the CD displayed?
If yes, right-click on it and select Explore, you should find a Setup.exe file, or Install.exe to launch the installation manually.

Yes, I've already tried Start, Computer... then when I click on it, I get setup.exe

I then accept the download and then nothing happens.

Logically, either the installation should start...
or I should enter the key code for my program since it's not a free program... But after accepting setup.exe

I have none of that.
The program closes by itself... and the CD makes no more noise, so... it's not searching anymore...

I don't understand what you want to explain when you say "I then accept the download and then nothing more."
Can you be more specific?

I have exactly the same problem with the platinum version and it's really annoying.

It's really unacceptable to shell out nearly €135 for a product that doesn't work.

Well done Avanquest.

Well, once I go to

Start, Computer, then I click on 3D Architect to start the download...

I then have setup.exe and I click yes because it asks me
if I allow this program to make changes to my computer?
I click Yes.

Then... a small window opens telling me that the software download will start... and then I wait and nothing happens.

The window closes automatically and I can't do anything... and then
the program stops responding...
The CD is no longer working...

Check the following point as well.
Start, Control Panel, AutoPlay, at the top of the page, check the box Use AutoPlay for ........and save, restart.

It's done, that doesn't change anything.

I need to enter a code for this program somewhere, but it's not asking me for it.

I can't open the installation and start it...

You won't be able to help me, that's okay : (

In order to enter a code, the least one can expect is for the installation procedure to start!
Is your CD clean, for example? No marks or scratches?
I have a feeling that your CD is directly to blame. Do you have the possibility to try it on another computer?

The file system is the CDFC system; I don’t know if that can help you solve my problem…

Yes, but if I install it on another computer, I won't be able to install it on my personal PC later...

The CD can only be installed once.

The CD is new, so it's very clean... the problem must come from somewhere else.

Thank you for your help.

How is the CD installable only once!!!
If it was installed and for some reason you had to format your hard drive, would it no longer be possible to reinstall Architect 3D?
I can't believe it for a second!

Moreover, you are not required to install it completely on the other PC, it is a question of checking whether it is possible to go further than on your current machine, in the installation process, which you can interrupt at will!
If this CD reacts the same way, there's no need to look any further!

A program costs 200 euros if it could be used on several PCs...
I wouldn't have bought it alone
but with all the students in my class, we would have chipped in to buy a CD and passed it around... so that everyone could install it on their PC!

And after all, if you just got this program, go back to your seller and explain to him that it's causing problems during installation, personally I'm going there tomorrow!
The file system is probably CDFS. (Compact Disc File System)
Good luck and best wishes.
Sincerely.

Hello,

For my part, I also struggled for a long time and finally, it was by unplugging all internet connections and disabling my antivirus that I was able to install it. You might want to try that...

I had the same problem. The issue was with Bitdefender. You really need to block all Bitdefender functions one by one by going into the settings (antivirus, firewall...).
Then go to the CD drive, right-click, open, go to the Data/FRA directory and double-click on setup.exe.
