How to activate Freemake Video Downloader

Hello,

I installed this software to download (and convert) videos with GOOGLE CHROME (on XP).
I have the initial window where I paste the video URL (which actually exists).
On the URL line, it says: "No video found", and when I click on the URL, a GOOGLE CHROME window opens... with the video! I notice that I have the small icon of "Freemake Video Downloader" at the top right, which I cannot "activate".
What is happening? Can someone help me???

    I experience the same thing, I can only download from YouTube, all other sites tell me there are no videos or that I need to enable the videos, but it doesn't download them in any case.

    If someone could help us, that would be great.
