In the application log of the Event Viewer, the application error 1000 occurs frequently without me being able to resolve the issue.
It seems that this is related to Yahoo Messenger;
can anyone guide me to try to resolve this recurring problem?

The event ID 1000 for an error message is used whenever there is an application failure, regardless of the application. This is represented on the user's side by those screens asking if you want to send the problem data to Microsoft.

To determine if it is indeed a Yahoo problem, you need to read the content of the message (by double-clicking on the line). The description will start with "Faulting application" followed by the name of the application. It is this name that you need to provide us.

I'm getting a Nero 7 error: medium not present 023A00 after a test.

My config

Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo D1840 laptop
Windows Pro
P4 2.8 GHz 60 GB HDD 768 MB RAM and Hitachi or Ricoh RW8160 burner.

The burner no longer opens automatically and when I insert any CDs or DVDs, there's no recognition.

Is my burner dead???
