Hello,

following chaotic keyboard manipulation (online games with multiple key presses), I reduced the font size of window titles and other items in Windows Vista.

More precisely:
- the window titles
- most of the page text
- the text under desktop icons
- the text of drop-down menus after right-clicking
and so on...

Under Windows XP, I would have already fixed the problem, but Windows Vista only offers me to set the font size to 120dpi (instead of 96dpi - default -), which does not solve anything, quite the opposite! It further increases the space between icons, and reinforces the impression that the text has indeed shrunk!

My (double) question is:
- how could I do this with a simple keyboard manipulation?
- how to restore the text to its normal size?
Thanks to the community

But not nothing either, huh!

You didn’t read my topic properly: Windows Vista only offers me to change the font to 120dpi (instead of the default 96dpi), which changes nothing and, on the contrary, makes the space between icons larger and reinforces the impression that the text has actually shrunk! The scale hasn’t changed. It was at 96dpi and must stay at that. The text has shrunk. Under Word, that corresponds to a font size of 8 for title texts, and 10 for icon texts. Before the adjustment, they were about 10 and 12, respectively...

"I see that you master it" Indeed, I am not part of the crowd who does not look for the solution to their problem before asking for help (in consumer IT, at least). What means that the problems that block me rarely find an easy solution... "you let me handle it and find the solution" More than 12 thousand interventions on complex cybersecurity issues, and we get stuck on a simple font size problem... It's frustrating, isn't it?
