Error code PS3, 80710092 then 80028EA6

Hello,

I can't connect to the PSN on my PS3, it's showing error code 80710092. Additionally, when I test the connection, the internet connection fails with code 80028EA6. I've restarted my PS3 and my router at least 10 times, and it's still not working. What should I do, please!? Save my weekend :)

    First of all, before you start the connection test, go to your Livebox and press and hold or just press once on button 2 so that the Wi-Fi becomes operational, and it is only from there that you will launch your connection test, and it will work normally!

    It worked for me ^^

    It's nice of you to have replied, thank you.
    I followed your advice with button 1 and button 2, before or during the test, and it still doesn't work :/.
    I don't understand, it used to work very well before and it's been like this for a week.

    Is your Livebox not too far from your PS3?

    Is it Wi-Fi or cable?

      It's Wi-Fi and no, it's not too far. It has always worked.

    Your error codes are:

    80710092: disconnection from the Playstation Network, cause: loss of connection (often the wifi)

    80028EA6: connection error, restart the PS3 and the box

    There's no point in restarting the box every time (turning it off and on...) it won't lead to anything ^^

      Hello,
      I see that you're struggling with the wifi of the PS3.
      I can help you, especially those who have a Livebox (Inventel). If the PS3 cannot connect to your Livebox via the WEP key, it's because your Livebox is not encrypted with WEP. Let me explain; the Livebox has several encryption modes: WEP or WAP. If it is secured with WAP and you enter the WEP key on the PS3, it will not recognize it. To change the encryption mode, you need to go to your internet browser at the following address: http://192.168.1.1. You will then enter the settings of your Livebox. Next, go to configuration, then advanced, then wireless: there you select "WEP only" and then click on submit and "adopt the configuration". Your Livebox will then restart. Once restarted, go back to your PS3 and this time go to network settings - wireless - etc. Once you enter your WEP key = wifi key on the label under your Livebox, everything should work.
