Hello,
I have a sequence of about fifty values separated by TAB.
I would like to convert this string in Excel so that each value is on its own line.
In other words, replace the TABs with new lines.
How can I do this, please?
Thank you.

re
@lentz. actually, it seems that polo has a text file
so
in Excel
open it as a text file
then choose delimited
then tab
which should give you a file where the headers are in line
if you want them in a column, you can use the transpose function
and save it in Excel format
PS. clearly stating the problem can help solve it ....

Thank you for your response... but there is nothing complicated about my statement.
A string made up of x values separated by a tab.
We want to convert this line (string) into a column with 1 line per value. -

Hello
the ASCII code for the horizontal tab is 9, and the carriage return is 13
but, as Lentz said
if you could send us a file (Excel 2003 format) with a cell containing a string of the described type, we would certainly see more clearly
wishing you well -

Here...
I thought it would be simple to copy and paste!
Thank you for your help. -
Note to the Tarnais: I honestly thought my problem was clearly stated!
"A string composed of x values separated by a tab.
We want to convert this line (string) into a column with 1 line per value."
Thank you. See you soon.-
Hello,
it seems to you, but talking about TAB and RC is more complex than talking about rows and columns.
Not much in your model, just a suspicion of wanting to switch from rows to columns, which remains to be demonstrated.
Three options in the attached file,

then come back to us to clearly (I insist) say what you want.
Regards.
