For security reasons, some organizations ask you to retype letters and mixed numbers in a designated box, called CAPTCHA. Is special software needed? Because the form will only be validated if the CAPTCHA is copied exactly as presented in the document. It's impossible to do this with a keyboard. Who can help me? Thank you in advance.

Nom supprimé Modération CCM explains very well the why and how of the matter. The human eye is quite capable of reading and thus typing a captcha. Moreover, unless you are a good hacker, it is very difficult to "download" a captcha, in fact it is the PHP code that generates it, so you would need to be able to retrieve the code in order to see the characters that are going to be generated clearly. The problem is that the said characters are generated randomly by the code, otherwise it would be too easy to control! So it’s impossible to do, right? Difficult and pointless, unless you have bad intentions, yes!!

Well, yes, with a keyboard you have to input the letters!!! These organizations want it to be "a human being" who enters the numbers with their keyboard!! That's why they propose captcha so complicated to read! As difficult as possible for the human eye, but just hard enough for a scanning robot that wants to send spam!! To understand and compare, your scanner is indeed equipped with the "OCR" (Optical Character Recognition) function: optical character recognition on a document, but only if these characters are perfectly printed, in black, well-aligned, on very white paper (contrast), and all that... And well, it's to prevent hackers from doing the same thing with scanning robots that websites "complicate their task" by "jumbling" the letters and numbers as much as possible, on a khaki background with letters of different colors and weird shapes... If it were too easy for you, it would also be too easy for hackers and their scanning robots equipped with the OCR function...
