Tamagotchi, how to turn it off???

Hello,
So, I have a Tamagotchi V1 (well, I think there isn't much
to do anyway) and I've just put in a battery because
I found it. I played with it, and now I don't know how
to turn it off!
I wait, but it keeps going everywhere!
What should I do?
I don't want to restart the game from scratch.

    It's just IMPOSSIBLE to turn off a Tamagotchi!! Unless you take out the batteries.

      I don't think we can turn it off, but we can put it on pause by pressing A and B at the same time!!!

        I agree, we cannot turn it off unless we remove the batteries, which can be annoying.

      No, you just need to put the white tab back in the hole. That way, it blocks the batteries.
