Macam software for Hercules webcam on Mac

Hello, I downloaded MACAM 8.9 on my Mac OS X 10.4 but I still can’t get an image. my Mac is a bit old; maybe I should download an older version of MACAM? what should I do? thank you

    What is the exact reference of this webcam? that’s what’s important. Is it connected via USB or FW?

      For Macam, version 0.8.0 is for Mac OS X 10.4.x (Tiger), so try downloading this version. version 0.8.9 might be too recent for your system.

      And, you did not try:

      1 - Before downloading version 0.8.0, moving version 0.8.9 to the trash?
      2 - Fixing the permissions?
      3 - Downloading ichatusbcam, installing it and seeing if it works?

      Are you sure you installed the original driver correctly? explain to me exactly what you are doing.
