... my sick PC.
(detailed history of the matter in the previous episodes on CCM : http://www.commentcamarche.org/forum/affich.php3?cat=0&ID=178929&page=1

So, it turned out that there were ... TWO troubles at the same time.
First of all, the heat sink was quite detached from the processor! So, (and I didn't know this) right from the start, the critical temperature was reached immediately -> reboot! Except every once in a while when some vibrations, perhaps, made it stick closer to the processor ....
Some of you thought about the overheating of the processor, but I didn't imagine that the critical temperature could be reached right at launch.... :-( So, I didn't pursue my reasoning further down that path.....
Then, (is this a consequence of that...) it made me understand that the motherboard was quite .... uh .... sick and that it might not last the year.....
Well.
In short.
Anyway, for now, it's working again.
It cost me €30 for a new fan and ..... a meal for my buddy and his partner.
In any case, we're far from the €317 that the "real" doctor had offered me..... ;-))
There you go.
I wanted to inform the CCM community of the rather happy outcome of this episode simply because I really appreciated the influx of many CCM members to each contribute their ideas and advice.
Thanks again to everyone!

Damn it, you asshole!! (it feels good!!)
Hey dude!! Finally, you can see the light at the end of the tunnel, that's cool!! ;-)))
We always have a guest room if you want to come roll in debauchery!! ;-))))
It's true, I hadn't thought of that!! There was no thermal paste, was there?? Plus, there was a time when you had time to boot up, but with the new processors, you just press power and your CPU is already fried!!!
;-))))
PS: I really like your "Hey dude"!! ;-))))))
So, how's it going, buddy? ;-)))
Wild and Free
Well yes, but according to my buddy, it was disassembled and put back together very poorly by .... "x" (I have serious suspicions, but go prove it!)
Otherwise, well it's all good ....

Glad to hear you’re "very happy" for me!
Not to offend you: I'm even happier!!! ;-D
