Hello or good evening Zatox,
Not much activity on this thread, it's almost a private discussion.
Has that (censored) printer submitted to your arguments or is it still making your life difficult?
See you!

Good evening old pain, sorry I couldn't get back to this thread for personal reasons. I stopped using the Lexmark a while ago, and when my cartridges gave out, I bought a Brother DCP 195 C which works very well without any problems. This leads me to say that printer manufacturers in general don't play fair; they make products for Windows with the right drivers and ignore the others, except for a few brands like Brother or HP.
Thanks again for your patience and your help, but I've thrown in the towel and sent my Lexmark to the dump.
Sorry for not being able to respond to you sooner, but family issues came up.
Catch you later, maybe for another thread.

Hello,
I am experiencing a printing issue with the HP Officejet Pro K5400 printer on Linux Ubuntu (12.10 & 13.04).
Unable to print?
--> I checked for the presence of the HPLIP driver: 3.13.3
1) HPLIP Software:
I also checked the HP website: a new version of HPLIP is 3.13.4
https://developers.hp.com/hp-linux-imaging-and-printing
I restarted the HP Officejet Pro K5400 printer
--> I tried to restart printing the file via the HP Officejet Pro K5400 document print manager.
2) From CUPS:
CUPS version 1.6.2: http://www.cups.org
Cups Console: access from http://localhost:631/admin
No printer defined, just add it.
HP Officejet Pro K5400 (HP Officejet Pro K5400)
--> HP Officejet Pro K5400 USB serial HPLIP (HP Officejet Pro K5400)
The printer is now correctly configured.
3) Clear print histories:
