Download streaming video from ARTE

It seems to me that we cannot download the replay videos from any television channel, ARTE or others; I have never managed to do it.

-App. with no interest here on the forum Mac OS , for a Mac OS request.

-On the other hand, things have changed since the date of the request; it is now possible to purchase videos on Arte from a Mac.

I don't know where the purchased videos go from Mac OS. The last videos I bought were purchased while I had Windows installed on my Mac. They were therefore downloaded in the BootCamp space. I watched these videos from Windows. Then, Arte sent me an email to tell me that it is now possible on Mac. Arte gave me this info at the end of December 2011.
Following this, I downloaded the Arte player application for Mac OS. I followed the procedure indicated on their site, and when I found out that I could indeed watch the already purchased videos on Mac OS, I removed Windows from my Mac.
(I had Windows for that and also to use a personal license of Autocad LT. And since I also found a perfect replacement for Autocad LT that runs under Mac OS, I no longer need Windows at all)

Since that date, I haven't had the opportunity to buy new videos on Mac OS yet.

But, I think the videos probably go in the Downloads folder, or else in a dedicated folder inside the "Documents" folder. It should be quite easy to locate. Note that we can move these videos anywhere after downloading them. (My videos purchased under Windows are now on an external drive that I connect when I want to watch them).

So, it's quite simple, we can place the videos anywhere, but on each Mac, you need to install the Arte video player. It is this player that validates the playback of the videos after entering the Arte credentials.

A- Where are the downloaded & purchased files located? How can we find them?

B- How to transfer them to other computers? ARTE states that we can view and place them on three devices. Moreover, it is interesting to know how to manage these files for archiving purposes...

C- Do you know a link to write to ARTE about this? I can't find any!

Arte has answered me that the files they download are located in:

Macintosh HD / users//library/application support/Microsoft/Silverlight/

It is indeed strange, because on my side I can move my videos as I wish, on any volume, and I can play them perfectly. It is necessary that during the first playback, the videos are activated from the Arte site.
To try to understand, I wanted to know where, on my machine, the information is stored that tells me my videos are OK, i.e., validated. By doing extensive searching with EasyFind, I found this:

This file might need to be discarded so that it can be replaced by a file that will indicate that the videos are OK ...
To access this /private folder, it must be done from the Finder menu "Go / Go to Folder..."

This is just a lead, while waiting to find better solutions ...

I have a serious problem that I’ve been facing for several days now, without seeing a solution.

But first: on a Mac, ARTE VIDEO files are located in: Macintosh HD / User / Library / Application Support / Microsoft / Silverlight /

Here’s the problem I have.

I migrated from a MacBook Pro 15" to a MacBook Pro 13". Same OS 10.6.8

After the migration, I could no longer play the videos I had on the 15" on the 13" (the new one). I attributed this to the migration, thinking that to protect the licenses of the videos, they were no longer accessible: NORMAL...!

As I spent quite a bit of time and attempted to understand this, I lost the other two downloading options on other machines.

So I bought a video that I already had again, but since the Arte software refused to work on the new Mac, I made this purchase on the old one, thinking that I could later request a download on the new one (we are entitled to 3 downloads).

I can get and view this new purchase on the old Mac, but I cannot download it or watch it streaming on the new Mac! While the Arte Video Player does display my acquired videos, it absolutely refuses to play them on the new Mac with a harsh error message like: "System.Windows.Media.DrnException: 6002 6002 An error occurred"

I’ve tried everything: uninstalling the Silverlight plugin as well as all Silverlight files found in the "uninstall Silverlight" instructions, the Arte player. I reinstalled everything but nothing works...

Any ideas?
