Hello,
I have two Jamo 7.6 speakers, here are their specifications

Number of Speakers: 3
Impedance (Ohms): 4
Power Handling (W): 150
Acoustic Performance

Frequency Response: 40 - 20000
Sensitivity (dB/W/m): 88.0
Miscellaneous

Dimensions: 222 x 935 × 366 (W x H x D)
Weight: 21.0 kg

I had an old 250w amplifier (Uher UP-120) that burned out
I would like to know which amplifier would be good with these quality speakers
Also, I already have a Yamaha RX-V430RDS home theater that I use for everything: tuner, aux input.
I'm therefore looking for the cheapest amplifier possible, even if it only has two speaker outputs and a red and white input to connect to the Yamaha amplifier!!

Thank you in advance for your help!

Baptiste

Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 534.16

uhh yes, it's an audio out that allows you to pick up the sound from the Yamaha!
    budget: as cheap as possible
interested in anything that works :D

On the other hand, I’m really bummed, I just turned up the sound on the Yamaha and it seems to have taken a hit because as soon as I put the sound up too loud, it cuts out! It can't be possible for two amps to blow at the same time when they're independent!!
maybe it's due to the heat here in Brittany... =)

My Yamaha already has the 5 speakers + sub connected to it. I want to add the Jamo 7.6 on top of that. I had already tried to connect everything before, but it produced a disgusting sound =).

a red and white input to connect it to the first Yamaha amplifier

Are you talking about the REC-OUT outputs of the Yamaha?

    Doesn't it have PRE-OUT outputs? (I don't think so).

    What is your budget?

    Are you interested in vintage/second-hand?

4 ohms is tough for an "average quality or poorly matched" amplifier, and if you've connected 2 pairs at the same time, we can fear the worst :(

I see my favorite near you, actually not mine, but one like it: http://www.leboncoin.fr/image_son/188393432.htm?ca=12_s

It won't have any difficulties with these speakers, nor with any others, and it has a wonderful sound, hard to find better, truly out of the ordinary.

A neutral frequency response, dynamic, exceptional quality timbres, very musical and with punch in the lower register.

A real amplifier, almost 25 kilos, transformer and the rest like they don't make anymore.

When it comes to listening to bass a bit loudly, I prefer it to my brand new 300B tube amplifier which costs at least twice as much and is retubed with rare and expensive tubes.

Try it and let me know.

Okay, wow, that's expensive! Well, I'll check all that out. How many watts does the amplifier need to be for these two Jamo speakers?

Totally agree with you, nothing replaces the old amplifiers!

Otherwise, I think it's due to a thunderstorm because both of my amplifiers at the same time...

I'll check with the home insurance to see if there's a way to replace all of that.

ok got it, that's not cheap!

No, I know, but I would never give up mine either.

If you have it, you'll understand why.

how many watts does an amp need for these two Jamo speakers

The wattage of the amp isn't of major importance, as long as you have enough for your ears.

I use amps from 1.5 to 125 watts RMS per channel with speakers rated 15-100 watts (recommended).

The one I recommended to you is more than sufficient.
