Hello, I would like to have a high ID on eMule, I have disabled the Windows firewall. I still have a low ID, does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance

TUTORIAL FOR CONFIGURING EMULE HIGH ID WITH NEUF BOX V4  1) Start by installing Emule  Once Emule is installed go to:  - the PREFERENCES tab (the yellow wheel on the far right of the Emule window)  - in the left column click on CONNECTION (the red plug) In this window, there is a box in the middle called: CLIENT PORT   Inside you will find:  TCP = 58 608  UDP = 20 252  (These values are mine, I took them for the example but it doesn't matter, keep the ones that Emule gave you)  Take note of these values as you will need them later when configuring the NEUF BOX. Exit Emule.  2) Now let's move on to configuring the NEUF BOX. Click on the following link to open the configuration page of your NEUF BOX   http://192.168.1.1/  ( Otherwise Start menu windows – All programs – Neuf – Tools – Configuration of your Neuf box )  The configuration page of your NEUF BOX opens, go to:  1-the NETWORK tab and the sub-tab WAN check that your NEUF BOX is in router mode (if not, do it and validate)  2-Then click on the NAT tab ( there is a Port Translations section you will need to fill in and create lines to open the Ports of your NEUF BOX) Fill them out like this:  The first line  - Name = Emule - Protocol = TCP - Port / Range = Single port - External ports = 58 608 ( Emule value taken beforehand, put yours ) - Destination IP addresses = 192.168. 1 . 2 - Destination ports = 58 608 ( Emule value taken beforehand, put yours )  (Validate by clicking on the plus at the end of the line)   The Second line  - Name = Emule - Protocol = UDP - Port / Range = Single port - External ports = 20 252 ( Emule value taken beforehand, put yours ) - Destination IP addresses = 192.168. 1 . 2 - Destination ports = 20 252 ( Emule value taken beforehand, put yours )  (Validate by clicking on the plus at the end of the line)  Now at this stage you have configured your NEUF Box for Emule, now you need to do the same for your PC  3) PC Configuration  – Windows START menu – Then click on CONNECTION – Then click on OPEN NETWORK AND SHARING CENTER – In front of your connection click on VIEW STATUS – A window called "Local Area Connection Status" opens, click on properties (For those using Vista, click continue to open the next window) – A window called "Local Area Connection Properties" opens, in the middle there is a box and inside is a line called "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" double click. – A window called "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties" opens,  Check the line = Use the following IP address, then enter these values:  • IP Address = 192.168. 1 . 2 • Subnet mask = 255.255.255. 0 • Default gateway = 192.168. 1 . 1 • Check the line = Use the following DNS server address • Preferred DNS server = 192.168. 1 . 1 • Alternate DNS server = leave blank  Validate everything by clicking OK to close all windows  4) Configuration of your Firewall  Personally, I use Norton and when you activate Emule for the first time Norton asks if you allow Emule to use the internet, if you answered yes there's nothing more to do, otherwise open Norton and  • Under the Norton Internet Security tab • Go to SETTINGS at the bottom click on "Internet security and firewall options" • Program controls (left column) • In front of Emule set to ALLOW • Close all pages by validating   AND IT'S MAGIC, WHEN YOU CONNECT TO EMULE YOU ARE FINALLY ON HIGH ID  PS: For users of other internet service providers, Firewall find out how to configure your modem and your firewall, the PC CONFIG step 3 remains the same regardless of the internet service provider and firewall.

Hello everyone,  I myself have a problem with the LOW ID given to me by eDonkey (Emule). But I think it simply comes from my configuration.  I am using McAfee which I got for free with my laptop purchase as an antivirus and Firewall, but also AVG. All this with a subscription from 9tel.  I also tried to configure McAfee's FW as well as AVG's but with no real success, "still in LOW ID I am" (yes yes, I am the hidden son of Yoda)  What more can I say... HELP!!!! Hey man, I have the Neuf box and I managed to set up eMule on high ID, so I might be able to help you. Go to the network interface of your modem; to do that, enter http://192.168.1.1 in the internet address bar. Once you're on the page, click on the network icon, then on NAT, and there you can configure your settings for eMule. Don't forget to turn off your firewall or allow eMule through it. Bye.

Hello everyone,I have a 9box version 4 (installed with an Ethernet cable) and I've found a way to no longer be on low ID on eMule...When you install your 9box (with the CD) it automatically sets itself up in router mode.I've read a lot of things about configuring eMule but I find that the simplest way is to switch your 9box to Bridge mode.To do this, click on:Start, Programs, Neuf, Tools, Configuration of your Neuf Box.On the Internet page, click on the Network tab, then on the Bridge-Router tab...You need to select Bridge mode... but that's not all...You will then need to create a manual connection to be able to access the Internet again... it's really easy:Right-click on the Network Favorites icon (which is on the desktop), Properties, Create a new connection, Set up a connection to the Internet, give it a name (for example: 9TELECOM) then use your username (which should look like: 1234a-5abc@neuf.fr) and your password. That's pretty much it...Good luck,SeB

Hello @ ts !  I've got a little issue with eMule...  Let me explain my setup: - FreeBox v4 connecting two computers:  * computer 1 connected via Ethernet cable  * computer 2 connected via USB - the FreeBox is in router mode and the TCP/UDP ports have been opened - the IPs are provided by DHCP  Configuration of both computers:  * OS: XP  * firewall: look'n'stop (but TCP/UDP ports have been opened)  * computer 1 has eMule Plus 1.2b, computer 2 has eMule 0.48a  computer 2 connects without any problem to eMule and has a High ID, but computer 1 is unable to connect: every time during its connection attempts, we get: "server ZZZ seems to be inactive" / "timeout" / ...  Could someone please help me resolve this issue? Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone.  I want to thank skynet95 for his tutorial on fixed IPs, it works perfectly.  As a Netgear router owner, I couldn't connect to the servers, luckily Kad exists =) After fixing the fixed IP, I was able to connect to the servers but still had a Low ID. After doing some research, it turns out that with a Netgear router, you need to open TCP and UDP ports on the router to finally enjoy High ID. I have a little problem like everyone here, after configuring my neufbox trio 3D modem (NAT/PAT, static IP and the IP reservation table) and reading and re-reading the tutorial (well explained by the way) regarding this configuration... I also later made an adjustment to my firewall before completely disabling it using the "msconfig" command! My problem still persists... No matter which TCP/UDP port I put between 1000 and 65500, the test doesn't work... What should I do??? Am I doomed to low ID for my entire life???  If someone could help me! Hello,   hi everyone  I think there are serious attacks going on right now because before (a few months ago) there weren't all these low ID issues. Whether it's a bandwidth problem or something else, P2P monitoring is really being put in place. Try installing PeerGuardian and you'll see all the harmful IPs it blocks. So on one hand, ISPs must block P2P during times when they need bandwidth, but there is also effective anti-P2P monitoring, so be cautious with downloaded files and especially protect all the open ports on your PCs while we wait for this to pass. But we'll see.

So my problem, as indicated in the title, is the LOW ID. Having just gotten a Sagem LiveBox, I had configured my eMule and was always on HighID, but for the past week, I've only been getting LOW ID. I have configured Windows with a static IP, and I set up my LiveBox (192.168.1.1) with the ports TCP 4662 and UDP 4672. And yet, still LOW ID. My Windows firewall is also disabled. Here it is, for those who have a low ID issue with the Orange Livebox, I recommend a trick that worked for me... Hey,  I did exactly everything that was mentioned in the tutorials and you say that for WiFi, a static IP should not be set; on the contrary, I am also on WiFi and I set a static IP. My download works super well at 60kb/sec  but I can't get a high ID and I don't have a KAD ID either  yet I've searched everywhere on the forums and tried everything you suggested  in some places, they say to set ports 4662 and 4672, I went to emule.net  and they say that's really not good, you need to choose a random value, there are places  that say to set limits and others say not to, that you need to create protocols, etc.... I've tried everything. I've seen diagrams, instructions, ways to proceed, nothing works   So I'm going to tell you what I've done   First of all, I have a $55 monthly plan 512/128 because I'm on satellite, the company is Telebec  and my modem is a SurfBeam with a D-Link DI-604 router and I'm on Windows XP Service Pack 2  and my antivirus is AVG Pro 8.0   1. I went to Control Panel/Network Connections/Properties/double-clicked on Internet Protocol  (TCP/IP) and filled out what they told me to fill out   2. I went to Control Panel/Windows Firewall/Advanced/selected 1394 connection then  Properties and created the two protocols TCP and UDP   3. I went to Control Panel/Windows Firewall/Advanced/selected 1394 connection then  Properties and went into ICMP to check the boxes that were required   4. I went to my router and created two exceptions, namely emule1 TCP with port number 5000  and emule2 UDP port 5010   I don't think I forgot anything, I've tried everything and nothing works.

Every message posted on this forum has a small yellow number next to the username, go to the first page of this topic and look for number 54. Follow its instructions carefully, step by step.  The main reasons for a Low ID are: - a misconfigured and/or fully operational firewall - a modem for which you may not have set up the TCP and UDP entries - sometimes a static IP is welcome - a poor server list - And make sure that if you follow the advice for setting all this up, you haven't entered different ports in your mule (preferences/connections)  Indeed, if you enter TCP ports 4897 in your mule, and then set your modem to 4662 (default), it is unlikely to work. The information provided here is based on the default ports.  In short, if all of this seems like Chinese to you, follow the instructions in the various links from number 54, it is one of the best answers here.

I thought about it for a while and found a solution that resolved my problem:
my tcp and udp ports were between 1 and 65535, I simply modified them to be between 2 and 65534.
there's not much of a difference but now my mule runs on high id.
if my little tip can help someone, all the better.
I didn't need to check out the emule forum.
without knowing what tcp and udp are, I managed to modify them to get by.
so if I can do it....

I have a desktop computer and a laptop, both connected to the internet via an Orange Livebox. To solve my low ID issue, I went to my Livebox, then configuration, then advanced, then router, and there is a tab "configure the DMZ." Click on configure and everything goes back to normal. I'm not saying it's the solution to everything, but it might be the last step to make it work.
