Hello, my Acer AL 1916W screen shows “empowering technology” and keeps auto-adjusting continuously. What should I do? I’m a beginner, please send me a simple answer.

Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 7.0

    Hello
Go to Start, Run, type "msconfig", in the Startup tab, uncheck "ePower Management", Apply and OK.
You will probably receive a message at restart to confirm selective startup.

Hi lacharpente, Simple question: if we disable ePower Management at startup, is there a possibility that the wifi or others, etc., might stop working?

Hello, and thank you, but I can’t find in the Start tab "epower management" "you could say that I’m not good at this"

Hello and thank you for your response, but I followed the instructions from "lacharpente" but at one step I did not find ePower management!

On your screen, you should have buttons; press Menu, with the buttons >> go to Restore, press Menu so it happens, the small window closes by itself after a short moment. See what it looks like afterward.

Check again in the list, if there is --> eaplauncher.exe
