Good evening,
I don't know if it's my screen that's deteriorated or if video and Internet standards have evolved, but for a long time now I've noticed that I have to brighten images and videos to see them correctly. I would like to know how I could increase the brightness of my screen. I tried fiddling with the buttons on my screen, but there's nothing regarding brightness or contrast.
I have a Fujitsu Siemens screen purchased more than 4 years ago and an NVIDIA Geforce2 MX graphics card (I looked in there too, but no settings in sight...). I also have DirectX 9.0c installed.
Thanks in advance!

You need to perform this manipulation because I had the same problem and it worked:
* Start / Control Panel / Appearance and Themes
* Change the screen resolution (in the "Choose a task..." section)
* Advanced (at the bottom of the dialog box that appears, it's directly in the settings tab if not go there)
* Color (in the new dialog box)
* Move the blue ball in the "Desktop brightness" section to max
There you go, it's done now you can adjust it as you need.

I have an Acer and your technique doesn't work...
Go to Control Panel
Choose classic view
Click on the icon (green) power options
and on the left side of the screen you can adjust the brightness to your liking
and save your choice
