Hello,

I recently installed Ubuntu. I clicked on Orca, and the magnifier system opened, and I can't seem to exit this system. Could someone help me? Thank you.

Kill the process associated with orca?

To do this, type in a terminal:
http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/terminal

killall orca

Good luck

Hello,

Excerpt :

Configuration You just need to enable the desired options in the System -> Preferences -> Universal Access -> Accessibility Tools, which will display the "Preferred Applications" window and in the Accessibility Visual chapter tab choose Orca and check "Run on login" and there you go, at the next login Orca will be active...

By changing "check" to "uncheck" ;-))

That's wicked :-) You launch it and it stays active until you tell it "that's enough now"?! ^^ I'm tripping out :p

Well spotted anyway zipe31

Well, let's say that in general these systems are designed for disabled people, and as such their disability won't disappear overnight, so it might as well be activated by default as soon as you use the function... right? ;-))

But having tried it, it's true that I've also been annoyed by trying to disable the feature, especially since if you haven't set the right settings, it's hard to stop it ;-)
