Hello everyone,

I am reaching out to your expertise because I have the following problem:

I have a file with 3 columns. The 1st is a complete descriptive list of my products.
The 2nd is a condensed list.
And I would like to extract part of the information from the 1st column into the 3rd column.

As explained in the attached file.

Does anyone have the solution?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.6.13

    Hello nicoatlante,
I just opened your Excel file and read your message,
actually in column C titled Internal No., you enter the formula =MID(A2,7,6), which extracts the 6 digits following the 7th character of cell A2, then copy the formula down to the other cells
I hope this answers your question.

      Awesome,

      Thank you very much, everyone.
      It works like a charm.

I might need you again in a few minutes for a research question, if that's alright.

Thanks again, and maybe see you soon.
