Philips soundbar problem

Question

Hello,

Since now 4 months I have a Philips soundbar connected optically to my PS3 and everything was fine. But since yesterday I have a sound problem that persists: when turning on the soundbar everything works correctly but after a few minutes the sound gradually decreases until it is almost or totally silent. Another case is that no matter the volume level, the sound is at maximum continuously, then drops and we return to the previous case.

Does anyone have an idea about the problem? Technical problem? or just a setting to adjust on the soundbar?

Hello, I’m new to the forum.
Sorry for digging up the topic, but it’s the only one I found while searching for my problem on Google.

I’m having the same issue with my Philips HTS3111 soundbar. It powers on, plugged in optically. But… no sound.
People talk about a transformer that could fix the problem.
But I don’t know anything about electricity.
What is it? How do you change it?

I have the same problem. After contacting customer service, it’s a faulty batch.

A return to after-sales service for repair or replacement is required.

You need to contact the reseller or manufacturer’s after-sales service depending on the warranty.

I’m sending it back tomorrow...

I have exactly the same problem with my Philips HTS 5110 soundbar: the sound decreases to the minimum after about 5 minutes of use. I will contact customer service tomorrow. Please add your testimonials if Philips has covered the repair or replacement of the product?

Hello, I have the same issue as you! I just tested a universal transformer that gives 19.4V, instead of the 27V of the original transformer.
And no more sound problems and the bass enclosure no longer makes the glong !!!!
Worth trying for you !!!!
ps: I think the transformer provided makes the bar overheat too much, and it goes into overheat protection !!!!
