Hello everyone! I think this is the right place to post my problem and please excuse me if it’s wrong.
Here’s the thing, I have a big problem when I print a music score: it prints something else! Instead, rather strange characters! It is a pdf format not very secure. So I don’t see why it doesn’t print the score correctly and moreover, I have already printed scores in pdf format and nothing happened!
I don’t see where this can come from. I don’t know how to show you the score as seen on the computer and the one that prints in the end but the problem still is that even a simple title cannot print correctly and the notes are the same! I would really like to work on this score but I don’t know how to do it.
If you could help me, that would be nice. Thanks in advance.
Configuration: Windows 7 / Google Chrome

Hello, I may have an answer, admittedly a bit twisted but it might work. If there is a logo on the score, when you print it you will always see it after printing. Is it a free site? Because it might come from site encryption! Do you see the score on the site or just a link? If you are in the first case, why not try a screenshot. To do this download Capturino (free, here is the link: https://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/398-comment-faire-une-capture-d-ecran install and open the software, define the capture area (the score, what you want to photograph), then save the image to your PC. Finally you will simply have to print it as if it were a photo. In short, we photographed the score and saved it as an image on your PC to bypass encryption (in my opinion). If you need a tutorial, see: http://www.capturino.com/portail/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=10&Itemid=25

Thank you very much for replying. Well, it’s a site that offers links, free, and when you click it opens with Adobe Reader. Then I saved it on my computer. For the screenshot, it’s a good idea, but the issue is that to view an entire sheet page you have to scroll down each time, so you don’t see it completely, and if you zoom out, you don’t see it clearly. Can this software ensure that the readability remains the same? Because you don’t see this score very well when you zoom out!

Try Captimag: https://www.01net.com/telecharger/windows/Multimedia/capture_ecran/fiches/40600.html. Could you give me the partition link, I will search and inform you please?

Thank you, here is the link: http://nintyfresh.com/sheets/gcn/
Then you need to search for K.K. Lovesong (aircheck). -
What I did was take screenshots in small pieces and then glued the pieces back together. But I would still have liked to know what the cause of this rather strange impression was!
Thanks to ap3 for giving me a good idea for the screenshots! -
I think I know why you printed strange characters. I tried saving the file as plain text and I also got strange characters. I conclude that when you printed this file, the printer treated it as a text file (.txt). Please correct me if what I say is wrong.

This is the image it gives me at the end of the print.
Well, maybe, but I don’t think so because all the staves have strange characters in txt format and I didn’t have a problem before. And when you look at my image link, you can see the staves, the treble clef, the slurs, and the sharps, and the note stems as well. Strangely, you don’t see the bass clef, nor the note heads.
Assuming my printer wants to read some characters from the txt format. So why? -
I don’t know, I’m just guessing!

With a friend I was able to find the problem: it was the language registry that was not right. In fact, before, I had installed a program and I wanted to change the language because French was not very comfortable for me. So I had to modify something in the registry. But the problem is that when you modify it, the pdf format of the small problems. I SPECIFY THAT IT IS REALLY PDF! So you had to modify the registry (using a text editor) the fonts. You had to delete all the font lines. Now my printer prints CORRECTLY!
I hope my answer will help someone in the future.
