Pressing the # key - IBM 122-key keyboard

Hello,

As the title indicates, I can't reproduce the # character with my IBM 122-key keyboard (the one that goes up to F24).

As a last resort, I wanted to type it in hexadecimal code, but I don't understand how to do that either. I hold down ALT + Hexa and then type 23 on the numeric keypad. But instead of getting a #, I receive an error 0023 ...

Thank you for your help.

Edit: This is happening on the OS/400 operating system used by AS/400.

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.6.10

    Hello,

Hold down the Alt key (the one on the left, not the AltGr) and type 035 on the numpad, then release Alt.

    It gives #
