Hello,
I am using uTorrent 2.0.4
Windows 7
and I am signed up on a private tracker that requires me to maintain a ratio of 1. This is very difficult to achieve, although I have tried my best. I have followed all the rules and the settings provided to me in the site's forum, but nothing works. Moreover, I am on unbundled Free, and when I run a bandwidth test with the TV off, I get 3428 kb/s in download and 108 kb/s in upload. I have some doubts about Free's honesty regarding my bandwidth when they promise 20 Mbit.
Question: I would like to know if you know of a solution to slightly increase my ratio so that it stays within a respectable limit, just to avoid being disabled from the tracker.

    You can increase your ratio with Ratiomaster (click on the provided link).

    However, don't download illegally okay ;-)

    Sometimes to increase your ratio, you have to make sacrifices like leaving your computer on 24/7 or even downloading xxx movies—don't watch those of course lol—but many download them, which will help your ratio

    Also, you should grab new releases as soon as they come out on the site,
    that way you'll harvest seed from others you're sharing with,

    But more seriously, get involved on the site you're on, have you thought about uploading movies, games, or other...
    and the best trick to increase your ratio without tiring yourself out, make a donation $
    Finally, make sure you're well connected on your site

    Hello to Quebec and thank you for taking the time to help me.
    It's true that the only thing I haven't applied is uploading movies or music, but do you think I will gain in ratio? I will try it tonight. As for the donation, I made one of 15 euros to reactivate my account, going to 0.95 in ratio, only to end up six days later at 0.72. My ratio has only dropped, even leaving it on for a minimum of 8 hours a day. Do you know about software like Ratiomaster and how to make it work?

    don't use software to cheat on your ratio, the site admins notice and ban offenders,
    The best trick is really to upload but keep your computer on longer,

    rossi is right about utorrent, however having a ratio of 1 is huge, like (torrent 411), my tracker asks me for a ratio of 0.50

      I currently have a ratio of 3.49

      It all depends on the sites

      Mine requires a ratio of 1
      knowing that they give +10 at the beginning

      And like I wrote above
      after making a donation

      No need to worry about it anymore
      you become a VIP client

      There are private trackers where you will never be a VIP (like the one I've mentioned), so you give what you want but just to improve your ratio.

      You take Utorrent 2.0 or 2.8, or another thing that works too because it's just to simulate software: no need to really have it.

    Version 2.04 had a lot of issues
    I recommend you go back to a previous version

    but this version no longer gives you the full speed of your connection and has a bug when creating torrents

    Logically, on a private server

    Once you've made a donation, you normally become a VIP client
    and you shouldn't have to worry about your ratio anymore

    Small tutorial to no longer have to worry about your ratio! :)
    For me, it works perfectly and I no longer need to worry about the ratio. I download as much as I want without necessarily having to upload.
