Hello,
I use Real Player to download YouTube videos. Until now, everything was going very well. But for the past two days, when I'm on a video, I still see the little "download this video" button, but when I click on it, the Real Player download window opens, and instead of having the progress bar below the download, it says "download impossible." This issue arose after a Windows Update. I've had this little problem before, but it started working again without me knowing why lol, so I don't have the solution. I'm using Internet Explorer, but I've tried Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome and the result is the same. There was only one video that worked, but since then nothing (I think it was in IE). When I first encountered this problem, I uninstalled/reinstalled Real Player, but that didn’t help. Today I tried to update Real Player, disable the add-on in IE and then reactivate it without success. I've searched the internet (so don’t say “the answers are all found” or anything because before asking my question I've done several searches) and all the forums where this topic has been addressed are either unresolved with no answers or the responses were manipulations I have already tried.
I hope I have been clear in this long story lol. Thank you for your help... =D

Good evening Shoop
I had the same problem as you, and while looking at the forum responses, I tried using Internet Explorer instead of Mozilla and it worked.
I can't tell you more than that because I don't know much about it.
Have a good evening

Here is the response to (download impossible) in Real Player "download this video": It's that simple without going far: just uninstall Real Player and all its components including the library, but make sure to create a folder and name it as you wish, then move all the contents of the Real Player library by copy-pasting, then you move it again back into the new Real library after the new installation.
When uninstalling, check all the boxes and confirm the uninstallation, make sure you have closed web browsers like IE, Mozilla, etc. After uninstalling, Real will automatically connect to realplayer.com to ask you the reason for uninstallation, but you're free to respond or not then close the web page.
To finish, go to the site: www.realplayer.com then download Real Player SP for free please, then proceed with the execution of the installation file, checking only: "download this video" and "Real Player icon on the desktop"
maybe also allow Real to open files not yet associated with other programs:
Avoid adware like toolbars, uncheck that box if the toolbar does not interest you, and then proceed to installation and there you go, check at the end of the installation the basic Real Player but if you want more features of "Real Player SP Plus" it's not too expensive, it's a few dozen euros you can make your DVDs and watch everything in HD and other useful features: if they want you to provide your information at the end of the installation you are also free or not, just click on x to close this window and suddenly Real Player opens.
It's done you can now download and watch your music and videos on your favorite sites with "download this video" There you go, it helped me, I did all the tricks from the forum (how it works) but with no result until I reinstalled Real Player.
Thank you and sorry it's too long my answer.
Good luck.

Ouvrir Real Player, cliquer sur fichier/ouvrir/ mettre le lien de votre vidéo/ télécharger cette vidéo. Voilà.
Hello, I noticed the same problem with Firefox, even after reinstalling the latest version. Switching to Google Chrome and everything is fine, it works. For my part, I hadn't had any Windows Update (I block them all!). Bye.
Hello, ladies and gentlemen!
I had exactly the same problem as you since this morning!
The decision is simple!!! I found it..
You just need to enter YouTube into your reel player..
1. You need to open the reel player
2. file
3. open
4. copy URL in the window that appears
5. the download will succeed without any issues
excuse my French.. .
