Hello,
I found the icon "Default.rdp" in the "My Documents" folder on my hard drive:
C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents.
I would like to know if it is normal to find it in this folder.
(The file "Default.rdp" corresponds to "Remote Desktop Connection".)
I'm worried because I immediately came across this link:

Research confirms that it is normal to find the icon in this folder, but I only see it on my computer and not on others, with identical display settings.
Additionally, the creation date of my icon is very recent (three weeks ago).
Do you also have this hidden icon under Windows and how could it appear suddenly? Thank you.

The file "Default.rdp" is generated by the Remote Desktop Connection client when a remote session is established. This RDP file contains properties and settings related to the established remote connection session, including authentication credentials and display settings that are used during each remote session.
Hello Miami,
I noticed the same thing as you, this file that appeared suddenly,
I’m sure it wasn't there before my computer went haywire...
Oh man, paranoia... lol

jamenix, if you have never initiated a remote desktop connection (established or not) on your PC, then there is no reason to see this hidden icon in this folder. It is therefore logical to wonder.
the default.rdp icon has a specific creation date. This may help you remember a possible mistake. In any case, I seriously doubt that it could appear by magic.
