E73 error on Xbox 360

Hello,
here is my problem
I have had an Xbox 360 for 3 years and 1 month! So no more warranty!!
One morning while trying to play, an error appeared: E73 with a red light on the bottom right.
Once it stopped in the middle of a game of Gears 2! The fans were running at full speed, then two red lights, and it shut down. I saw that it’s an overheating issue, but it’s not hot at all ^^
The next day it was working perfectly until now when I turn it on it shows me error 73
I tried the cotton swab technique and it works, but before playing I always have to do this technique.
I contacted customer service, and they told me to go to xbox.com support section... which I did, and at the end of the repair registration, they asked me for a credit card!! I would like to know the price beforehand.
So there you go, has anyone ever sent it in and knows the cost

Yes, the cotton swab technique allows the bobox to work for a few hours, but it's really annoying to have to do it every day.
For the technique: you go on YouTube and type in (xbox 360 e73 fix).
Everything is explained.
I confirm that it works, but it doesn't last!
I will probably have it repaired; I saw that it costs 75/80 euros.
