Hello,

So... someone supposedly received a text message from me... even though I didn't send any... Of course, the message contains my name and my phone number (verified)...

So, I would like to know if it is possible to modify the content of a received SMS? Thank you in advance! Have a nice day.

I just had the same problem (twice in 3 weeks!!)

I have an iPhone 4 and I sent a text message to a recipient who has a Samsung Galaxy S (Android), and the content of my message got altered between sending and receiving the SMS.
Indeed, a piece of a very different message that I sent him was attached right in the middle of the SMS!!!!!

We compared, and there is indeed a sent message different from the one received!
I obviously checked that my iPhone didn't have the added text stored in memory (for example, a snippet of text that was copied), and that's not the case.

The question arises: where does this come from?
From the iPhone 4 that sent the message? From the Samsung Galaxy that received it? Aren't SMS supposed to have message integrity (no alteration of content from one point to another)?

Thank you for your responses or testimonies from those who have experienced this misadventure.

It just happened to me exactly the same thing... except that I sent it with a Samsung Galaxy and it was received with a piece cut off and another text in its place, like a copy-paste!
