Hello,
I need some explanations. I accidentally discovered pornographic website links in the browsing history. I checked to make sure, and they were indeed links to that kind of site. Additionally, there were Google searches with keywords like free sex, etc.
I wasn't present over the weekend, and so my friend was the only person involved. I asked him how those kinds of sites could be in the history when he assured me he wasn't looking at that stuff. He told me it was because of video series download sites, and that sometimes you have to go through those kinds of sites, and he didn't know how it ended up in the history since he hadn't watched them. But I find it strange that there would be links in the history if he didn't see them, especially with the Google searches. Is it possible for software to record website links in the browsing history?

Same here. Reason for separation for me. I found Google searches with porn sites. He tells me it's because of downloads... I think he's treating me like a fool. I'm lost. Please, can an IT guy explain this to me? URGENT URGENT

It is possible that software records this type of site in the browsing history (however, this has not yet been seen). Most porn sites prefer to use Spam and other inconveniences to annoy internet users. Your partner must have been a bit bored this weekend (but that's not a crime ;)

I didn't think there would be so many responses. To be honest, it's not a big revelation to say that porn sells... So I thank everyone for their answers to my question. I was advised to let my friend be, which I am doing, thank you ^^ Except that he told me after a discussion that he wasn't watching it. Why would he lie to me, since I don't care as long as he doesn't do it when I'm around? Although I prefer that he thinks of me rather than of fake girls with crabs. As for the accusation of lack of trust; I didn't search his computer since it is for now somewhat ours, and I needed it, and above all, I had to delete the history for some tasks on the computer. In short, a lot of words to say that I stumbled upon it by chance, I didn't expect it, and I asked him about it. I just wanted to know if it was possible (see the first post). He lied, he deliberately went to pornographic sites.
Which is not a crime (it depends on the site in question ^^), he has the right to do so even if he is supposedly in a relationship.
BUT that's not a reason to lie!
You can tell him that he has the right and that he shouldn't hide such things from you knowing that boys often have bigger sexual needs (better a porn site in the evening than him cheating on you, right?).
But to say NO, it's not me...
(also tell him that out of respect for you, he could delete the history... it's never very nice to see that your partner visits porn sites)

You shouldn't rush things. There could very well be some pages opened inadvertently in the history. The most troubling thing remains the Google searches, but a good adware infection could very well create that.

Personally, I know how to delete the history and I don't save my search words (besides, I type the address in the address bar anyway) . . .

At worst, you look at all the words corresponding to porn searches that Google has recorded, and you check the sites that were clicked to see if they are the same as those in the history. If that's the case, there's a good chance that, well, you know. ^^
