Hello, I found some new icons for my desktop but when I want to save them in bitmap or bmp format, I get a message saying that I will lose their transparency. I'd like to know how to solve this issue because it looks really bad. Thanks everyone!
Configuration: Windows 7 Safari 532.0

Hello
Yes, both BMP and JPEG do not support transparency. BMP is also very large
You should save it as GIF or PNG.
If there is transparency, it should be one or the other; it's curious that your browser wants to save it as BMP
When saving as, scroll through the format box and choose PNG or GIF.

yes thank you but the format is already png except that to use my icons on the desktop I can only use the bitmap format otherwise it doesn't work (with the gif format it's the same problem the transparency is lost upon saving)

Is it really a pack of icons or do you want to turn photos into icons? If so, you need an .ico extension

If it's a pack of icons, it's surprising that it doesn't work.
I don't understand "save"? The icons are already ready, there's normally nothing to save.
I think you must be referring to images and not icons; they need to be converted to be compatible

Try with Photofiltre

Yes, in fact those are image format icons that I want to convert back to icon format, so I need to save them.

Thank you for your link, which is not bad at all, but now my images turned icons are appearing on a white background.
