Sorry, I’m not quite sure where to put this message... It’s for a (very small) legal inquiry regarding an online shopping site.
I would like to order some trinkets from orichalk.com, a not very well-known site. So I did some Google research to see if it was a trustworthy site and I came across this:

I read "Notice of deposit" on 31/07/2009. I know nothing about legal matters and I wanted to know if that meant the company had filed for bankruptcy (and therefore, if I ordered, I wouldn’t receive anything). Can anyone tell me if I should avoid this site?

The Orichalk company has been in safeguard proceedings since May.
This means it is not far from bankruptcy.
It is under court supervision and authorized to suspend payments to its creditors.
The goal is to try to save the company.
It can thus restructure, continue to sell its stock (and generate cash) without temporarily honoring its debts.
Either it manages to recover, or it will be placed in recovery and then liquidation.
Given the way it treats its customers, I tend to lean towards liquidation.
However, don't hesitate to visit the website www.orichalk.com; the comments on the products are hilarious (although completely unintentional).
A must: "whiz freedom," the plastic device that allows women to urinate standing up.

In my opinion, the deposit notice you mentioned must mean "balance sheet deposit" (this is part of the obligations for any LLC to publish its balances): Orichalk is part of LDLC, which is publicly traded and is doing quite well, so it seems unlikely that Orichalk has filed for bankruptcy.
ON THE OTHER HAND: unlike LDLC, which is a serious company (I've been using them for a long time and have never had any problems), I placed an order with Orichalk on December 2, and today, January 6, I still haven't received anything...
They never responded to my complaint submitted on their website on December 29, and I never received the tracking number for the Colissimo (although it is marked as dispatched in my order information on their site)...
Fortunately, having paid through PayPal, I was able to file a dispute (which should allow me to be refunded soon), but I'm still waiting to hear from them...

In fact, I confirm: at Orichalk, it’s a real gang of scammers!
I bought 5 items more than a year ago.
While the package did arrive with a significant delay, out of the 5 items, 3 were defective! This was followed by a return (at my expense), then a refund for these 3 items (nothing unusual)...
Later, I used the Orichalk site to share my opinion on the relevant items, as the site suggests. However, I soon realized:
1) That all negative comments (even though they were measured, objective, and solely focused on the product, not the company) were simply censored.
2) That positive comments are obviously well displayed.
3) That nuanced comments are truncated, retaining only the laudatory passages and omitting the excerpts that provide reservations!!!
I find this practice downright despicable. Where there is interest in customer reviews, it should be a more or less objective return on their real experience. In the case of Orichalk, it’s a completely fraudulent manipulation, aimed solely at misleading internet users to generate revenue at the expense of customer satisfaction!
Fortunately, everything is known on the Internet. And I hope that Orichalk will receive the backlash it deserves!
So I invite anyone who has had a bad experience with Orichalk to express it, so that all other potential customers know what to expect.
And for those who use the "WOT" module on Firefox, I invite them to rate the "credibility" and "commercial reliability" of this site at their true value, which remain abnormally high for now!

I should have read your comments before placing my order!! In my case, the tracking module on the site indicates that the order is closed. I never received anything, and the Colissimo number they provided is unknown to the post office!!!!

This site is terrible, I ordered a CLip pro track, via Chrono 13 on 06/08/2012 and today I still haven't received anything...
- No respect for delivery deadlines
- No Chronopost tracking as promised on the site
- The phone number they provide never answers
- I've spammed them with around 200 emails, still nothing.
A formal notice and filing a complaint is the only thing left for me to do.

as for me, I don’t know what to think of them, I think it's a superficial and artificial site, I was tempted to buy from them, the items are original and nice.
During one order, I paid for 2 items and only received one, I got a refund and following my messages, in fact, I believe it wasn’t even a refund but a credit that I reused later so no problem.
however, recently I bought http://orichalk.com/gadgets/304-hyper-disc.html a dog frisbee, and it's a real piece of junk. The supposedly indestructible thing was completely shredded by my dog in no time (always dreamed of using this expression... emotion*)
anyway, I wanted to leave loads of comments saying that it’s worthless and MAGIC it never works. Just for the lies about certain products and the refusal to validate comments, I will not buy again and I am going to give them a hell of a review!!!

don't know much... I've always used Amazon, but the problem is that where I live, I need to be patient before getting the package... France-Mexico, postal flights or things like that don't happen every three days...

I ordered a TrackIR from them, actually it was a bundle with another item. They didn't send me my entire order, so I tried to contact them, but they never respond to any email!!!! Total blackout, it's outrageous.
But I won't let it go like that

The only drawback I had with this site is that when I received my item, I had to return it because it was broken.
You've had the chance to receive it, but I haven't received mine yet. I call, but I'm sent to voicemail; I send emails, but I get no response. I don't know what to think anymore.

They are very hard to reach when there is a problem. As a result, the article was received two months late.
I ordered on December 6th to make sure I would receive my package for Christmas, they sent me the wrong item, which I returned, then they supposedly sent me the new package with "guaranteed delivery before Christmas," and to this day, December 23rd, I still haven’t received anything!! Hats off to this site, which I will never set foot on again!!
Customer service is terrible, no response to emails and they do not answer the phone during business hours... Very businesslike and very serious, for sure!!
