Hello. I have a 645 MB video to burn onto a 700 MB CD. What is the difference between MB and Mb, because I can't burn due to the video being too large... Thank you

Configuration: WIN XP

Did you still try to continue the engraving?

You might just have an alert message telling you to be careful that doesn't really serve much purpose. You can modify its settings via the file menu and then preferences (in version 6, there's an advanced functions tab. I don't know if it's the same in version 5)

I think you know how to burn your CD anyway!

I can't continue; the CD is ejected and the
process is stopped... Forget it, I must have made a mistake in creating the Divx... However, if you know a program that works well
for making Divx... For me, with Rippack it works once in 20 tries,
with Easydivx nothing at all, and with Neodivx I can't manage it, Pfuuuu...

Basically, we will specify that byte means "octet" in English, and not "bit"!!!!

1 octet = 1 byte = 8 bits....as my colleague pointed out...

So do the conversion....

Thank you for your help... I solved the problem by splitting
the Divx in two with Ulead Video Studio 7 and burning 2 VCDs...
However, I don't understand how after creating the Divx
with Rippack, I can't burn it because the size is too large
for Nero 5... Looking forward to it and have a good evening everyone....

If I were you, I would check the alarm settings for CD size in Nero's options. Nero indeed has the possibility in its settings to specify that the maximum size is 650, for example. So if you come with a file of 700, that won't work. But you can change the limit and therefore tell it that 700 is okay!

Look in the preferences!

There is no difference:
Mo = M byte, 1 byte = 1 byte = 8 bits, Mb = M byte
However, M means 1024 squared in computing, but the documents often "cheat" by using the international standard where M means 1000 squared (one million).

DVD Shrink is free. It allows you to decode and compress the DVD into an .iso file. You can directly burn the .iso file onto a DVD if you have a DVD burner. Otherwise, you can mount the image.
If you want to convert it to DivX, then use Neodivx, it should work!

OK thanks... I saw a "virtualdub" log on a
different issue from someone... I'll do it like that...
Split it into 2 CDs... I also think buying Nero 6 would
be good... But given the price new!!!!!! Used, why not!!!!!

C'est ce que j'ai fait moi.
Par exemple, moi je voulais acheter un ordi qui contenait 64 Mo et moi, avec les Sims 2, il me fallait 256 Mo.
Du coup, j'ai fait un tableau :

8 256
1 ?

1x256
256/8
32
Donc j'ai pu placer les Sims 2 sur mon ordi :p Vive la logique mdrr.

Little precision, the file size differs depending on the file system of the media; for example, a file will not have the same size in FAT as in NTFS. Under Windows: right-click on a file and then select properties to see its real size, its size on disk, and its size in bytes.

I use Nero 5 to burn... I don't have any error messages; I just get that the CD space is insufficient...
