Hello everyone, my problem is the following: since yesterday, the sound from my USB headset is reduced by half. If I adjust the balance to a single speaker, the sound on that side is normally loud, but on a single side of the headset, and it works for both sides. Only, when the balances are centered, the sound is very low, like split. I reformatted my computer, nothing changed. Hoping to find some help :) Thanks in advance to you.
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.5.4

Hi,
Open Start > Control Panel > Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices > Audio Devices.
In the "Volume" tab, set the device volume to "High".
Then under "Speaker Settings," click on "Speaker Volume" and set it to "High" as well.
In the "Audio" tab > Audio Playback > Volume...... check the balance and uncheck all the boxes. Click on "Advanced" at the bottom right and uncheck everything.
You also have the option to make adjustments with MSN. Open MSN, put on your headphones, then > Tools > Audio and Video Adjustment Wizard.
Follow the instructions...
Bye!

I have already done all these steps, I redid them following your response, but the same problem persists...

Start > Control Panel > Sounds, Voice, and Audio Devices > Sounds and Audio Devices
Tab "Volume"
Under "Speaker Settings," click on "Advanced Settings" and you select in the "Speaker Configuration" menu the speakers you use
(studio desktop... or laptop...) and you have the option "stereo headset" run tests...
Also, when you are in the volume control, click on "Advanced Options" then at the top left, click "Options" and Properties
In the window you see a menu and check everything in this menu, headphones, microphone volume, line volume, etc..... Then OK
I'm not a pro, and I don't know how it is for you...
Me I also do checks in the Realtek "Audio Manager" by going: Start > Control Panel > Sounds, Voice, and Audio Devices > Realtek HD Audio Manager
And in this window to adjust the sounds, reset everything to zero if you can't find the problem "Reset"
Otherwise, for now I don't see anything else :)
