I sent several emails to the Caf in my region, and here is the REAL email they respond from (the CAF)
Date: Thu, 17 Sep 2009 06:29:40 +0000
From: dialogue.caf(caf of your place of residence)@caf.fr
To: "your email address"
Subject: The CAF responds to you
It all depends on your place of residence (dialogue.caf(caf of your place of residence)@caf.fr)

And the technician
adds this at the end of the message with their name
Best regards,
Your advisor technician.
It's best to try searching CAF on Google before really responding and follow the instructions, or to go to their office if you are not too far away.

You got taken in like everyone else could have; no one is perfect.

What is preferable in the future is to take the time to read all the emails that come from CAF, ASSEDIC,
TAXES, etc. from all these official organizations. However, know that if you have NEVER sent emails to any of these organizations, they do not send you unsolicited emails.

They send a completely normal letter, by post, depending on the problem, registered or not.

"The scammers" are so stupid that they pass themselves off as well-known organizations in France. Well, that's nice thinking, but the catch!! is that by doing this, since they are not individuals, it's THE STATE that will find them because the tax office and CAF file complaints, so an investigation!!!!!

I will repeat myself but I take the risk: READ YOUR EMAILS SLOWLY, DO NOT RESPOND QUICKLY, IF NECESSARY READ IT THE NEXT DAY

New alert from the CAF!

Attention!

You may receive emails asking for your
credit card number.

If you receive such a message, do not respond under any circumstances.

Under no circumstances will your Caf ask you for your credit card number
online or by phone.

If you think you have received a fraudulent email or phone call, do not hesitate to contact your Caf to inform them, then delete the email.

I apologize for the delay, but this may be useful for others.
Someone is wondering how they can have an @caf... address
they don’t have one. It’s often .caf.xxx.yyy, in other words, the domain is xxx.yyy.
Anyone can have a website where a subdomain could be google.toto.fr, because the site is toto.fr.

I’m bringing this up again, but new emails and SMS are circulating right now, always the same principle... The domain this time is "extra.cnaf" (qlweb-caf.extra.cnaf)
