Issue with the Gigabyte GA-P55-UD3 and its LEDs

Hello everyone!

I just received my new components:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P55-UD3
Graphics Card: Asus ATI EAH4870 1 GB
Processor: Core i5 750
Memory: Corsair XMS3 2x2 GB DDR3
Power Supply: Advance 650W

My big problem is that when I turn it on, everything "flickers," the lights and fans start up then stop, over and over.
And the motherboard LEDs are as follows: the first two are green, the third is yellow/orange, and the fourth is red.
Where is the problem?

Additionally, on the graphics card, there are 2 power connections. Should I plug in just one or both? Is there a risk of damaging anything if I use both?

I'm a novice and feeling lost..... Help!

    No, for the graphics card, you really need to connect both ^^.
    Otherwise it wouldn't work, try connecting both and see if it starts; if the problem persists, we'll see what else we can do.

      Thank you for this information.
      So I've connected the two, but I see 4 LEDs on the GPU: 3 are red and one is off... And nothing changes, same problem...

        Problem solved. I just needed to connect the second 8-pin power supply in addition to the main one.
        The indicators do not all turn green, but everything turns off afterwards.
