Connecting a TV decoder to a computer?

Hello,

I have just acquired a TV decoder and a Neufbox, but I do not own a television yet. However, I have a laptop with an HDMI port, and during the installation, I have the option to connect my decoder with an HDMI cable. My question is, what will happen if I connect my decoder to my laptop using the HDMI cable?

    no because the HDMI port on your laptop is an "output" port so it won't work.
    you need an "input" HDMI port, the HDMI port on your laptop is used if you want to add a second screen
