So I found what I consider to be a 'monstrous' track from that time which indeed made quite an impact. This song is beautiful, especially the 'violins' part: Violin de la nuit by Systematic Parts.

actually, I wasn't talking about the "Violon de la nuit" track (which is great too) and reminds me of a lot of memories as well,
but about the track found by astyana that seems to be named Etnika.

The only tracks I can find are mixes and remixes!

So the original "Violon de la nuit" is indeed by Systematic parts.

However, the version I was listening to was not a remix.
So it is indeed Etnika but without the extra sounds on top.

Do you think there's an earlier version of Systematic Parts?

Edit: on my side nothing either about etnika, even combining etnika with systematic parts and violin de la nuit on Google, and nothing either on a potential sample from Syst. parts... :|
I was convinced the original was well by them.

Actually, what I'm looking for is much more rhythmic and the violins are really the main instruments and they are really electronic violins and not computer-generated music (well, I think). There is very little accompaniment behind but it remains electro.

It looks more like that indeed, but I had already looked in Mae's tubs.
I don't think it's hers because the style is a bit different.
It used to play in clubs, I don't think Mae did too (?)

No, a bit slower.
It slightly resembles an "Oriental" style at the beginning. I put it in quotes because it isn't Oriental afterwards.

first of all, thank you for your help.
Next, to respond to rcdj, nonno is right, it has nothing to do with what I'm looking for.
Also, it's not Jean Michel Jarre, I'm sure of that.
However, nonno, what you posted, the beginning is pretty much in that style. As for the bass, I don't quite remember if there are any or not... But the violins are present throughout the song.

Hi everyone, around 97, 2000 I would have said stradivirus... (not stradivarius as you wrote in your topic, Tonio) maybe that could fit. I remember buying the 2-track CD a few days after hearing it on the radio and in clubs back then....
