Hello,
I recently installed Ubuntu and when I press the Caps Lock key and type the numbers at the top of my keyboard (unfortunately, I don't have a numeric keypad), no numbers appear. Would anyone be kind enough to suggest a solution to fix this?
Thank you in advance for your valuable help.

Hello,
What you are describing is the default keyboard behavior in Ubuntu. The Shift key allows you to obtain numbers, and Caps Lock enables accented uppercase letters.
To revert to a more traditional keyboard layout, you need to go to system -> preferences -> keyboard, tab "layout", layout options and set Caps Lock key behavior to "Caps Lock acts as Shift locked for all keys."
(But you will lose the accented uppercase letters).
