Tabulation in Excel Cell??? Solved

Question

Hello,

I'm no longer able to create tabulations within the same cell (without going to the next cell...)
Sorry if this topic already exists, but I've been reading and rereading the 30 pages of responses for over 3/4 of an hour (which don't mention tabulation at all!!!) after typing in search "Excel tabulation" or "Tabulation in an Excel cell"...

I used to be able to do it before, it seemed to me that it was something like "Alt+Tab" or "Alt Gr + Tab" but that doesn't work...

The tabulation works in a cell after its validation with altgr-tab  Is that what you want?

Hello,

After asking myself the question recently:
ALT GR + TAB works in Excel 2007 but you just need to select the (or the) cell(s).
You must not enter the cell (cursor visible).

However, the tabulation shifts all the content of the cell. If there is a line break, the line below will also be shifted.

I have the 2007 version, and to create a tab in a table, I have to press Ctrl + Tab.

It seems that Excel does not offer the solutions of Word (Ctrl + Tab does not work)
The only trick found (in Excel 2013):
Menu: Insert > Symbols > Special Characters
and insert an Em Space (a type of elongated space)
Now I'm open to a keyboard shortcut or knowing how to create one (predefined shortcut?, VB macro....???)

Hello

Tip for creating a tab in Excel:

- select the cell then right-click/cell format
- alignment pane then in text alignment:
Horizontal --> Left
Indent: increase (set the tab size) e.g. 3 or 5 ...
- then confirm
